An Ironic Foresight

Author's Note: This is just the main idea of what the book is about, and how people in the vicinity react to the surrounding and instructions they are given.

Far off in the future,
an irony arose.
A man of bad fortune,
a government ruled world.
Language evolving,
freedom is lost.
Commands from Big Brother,
And threats if not done.
Fear among all,
of what will become
when they have done wrong.
This is the year of 1984.

Far off in London,
hate becomes profuse.
The Party in control,
non-existent privacy.
Lies become true,
divorce unacceptable.
Love so untouched,
confusion in place.
The Party unfair,
yet some do agree,
that the choices are right.
This is the year of 1984.

  1. I thought that that was a pretty good poem. One thing that could get maybe a touch on it was the grammar. At a couple of points, it was hard to understand. Another thing that could get a little tweaked is I think what would have made it a really good poem instead of a good poem was try to put a little bit of opinion in it. That would have really helped a lot. I think that it was good and I know it's hard to try to put opinion into it but that would make it really good. Nice Poem!!

  2. I forgot to add this but one thind that would make it even better is try to put the reader into the story and use words that could just pull the reader in and feel like they were there at the time. Again, NICE POEM!!!
